Shopping with Paws and Play

These terms explain how to use the Paws and Play online store and place an order. Please read them with our Shipping policy, Return and refund policy and Privacy policy. Your order is subject to the terms and product information displayed when you place it. Later changes will not remove rights attached to an existing order.

Your details and your order

Please provide accurate contact, payment and delivery details, and check the product, size, colour, quantity, delivery option and total before submitting your order. You must be legally able to enter into the transaction or have the assistance required by law. Use only a payment method you are authorised to use. Contact us promptly if you notice a mistake or need to request a change.

An order confirmation records the details of your purchase; it is not a dispatch notice. If a product becomes unavailable or we discover a material error affecting your order, we will contact you to explain the available options. We will not substitute a product or increase the amount charged without your agreement. If we cannot supply an item, we will refund the amount paid for that item and any related delivery charge that is no longer applicable, in accordance with your legal rights.

Products and pet suitability

Please use the measurements, variant details and instructions on the product page when choosing an item. Colours can appear different on different screens. This does not affect your rights if the goods are incorrectly described or defective.

Choose items suitable for your pet's size, species and behaviour. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, supervise play where appropriate, and stop using damaged products. No toy is suitable for every pet. Product descriptions are not veterinary advice; ask a veterinarian about a pet's health, diet or suitability for a supplement.

Prices and payment

The store displays prices in South African rand (ZAR). Review the final checkout total, including the delivery charge and any taxes shown, before paying. Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. Payment authorisation, bank processing and refunds are handled through the selected payment provider. We will never ask you to send your card security code or banking password by email or chat.

Delivery

Read our Shipping policy and the delivery information for your chosen items. Availability, processing and delivery times can vary by product, supplier and destination. Orders containing items from different suppliers may arrive in separate parcels. Contact us before ordering if you need an item by a particular date or need to confirm service to your address. We remain your contact for delivery problems; these terms do not transfer our legal responsibilities to a supplier or courier.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

Our Return and refund policy explains our 30-day return process and how to contact us about damaged, defective or incorrect goods. Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel an order. Dispatch status can affect how a cancellation is handled, but does not remove a cancellation or return right provided by law.

Privacy and responsible use

Our Privacy policy describes how personal information is handled. Keep any account sign-in details secure and tell us if you suspect unauthorised use. Do not use the store for fraud, unlawful activity, malicious software or attempts to interfere with other customers or the operation of the website. Respect the rights of the owners of the text, images and branding displayed on the store.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under South Africa's Consumer Protection Act and Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. If a provision conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection, that protection takes precedence. Contacting us does not prevent you from approaching an applicable consumer authority, ombud or court.
